RE: Any owners Holiday Rambler 5th Presidential Suite 2008 09

I have been in the Presidential Suite and really liked it but it has come in second as far as a choice to full time in....I am looking at the Carriage Carri-Lite. I'll make the big final choice this coming Spring. By the way I just bought a new Ford F450 to pull either one. Lots of luck.

RE: Pics. of my new Ford F450

Some info for you: The first 500 miles I averaged 12mpg. I had a Reese 20K hitch installed . I had a TransferFlow toolbox/tank combo installed. Yesterday my tank hit 1/2 and all of a sudden the gas gauge started to go up just past 3/4....I love it. The ride is great...at least to me. When I open all the windows, the rear one and the sunroof as well I feel like I am in a convertible. So far it is a great truck. have not broken 1,000 miles yet.

RE: Rear view Cameras

I bought a rear view camera from rvcams last year. I have the 56-CHNV that cost me $349. I do not know how I lived without it. The sense of safety driving now is great, knowing I can see what is behind me. The system has the 5.6 inch color monitor/ audio and infrared.

RE: Any recent TV buying experience?

Just a little over a week ago I bought a Ford F450. I had to fight for the price. MSRP was $54,365, Ford rebates $6,500, dealer discount about $5,000 and they gave me $7,000 for my 2001 Silverado. I sold the truck to the dealer because I was concerned about selling it on my own, obviously personal choice. I checked the price of my truck at KBB and got detailed pricing on the F450 from Edmunds. Like said above shop for what you want and try to get a price that makes you comfortable. Don't be afraid to walk out and go to another dealer.

RE: Best tire guage to check dually

I just went to tire-pressure-gauge and ordered the guage for my truck. First site I went to wanted $99. As noted above this was a great price. Thank you for your help.

RE: Best tire guage to check dually

I looked at the psiclops web site and like the idea of balancing tire pressure of both wheels at the same time. A little pricey at $99 but looks good.

Best tire guage to check dually

What have you found to be the best/easiest tire gauge to check tires on a dually. Mainly the inside rear tires. On my F450 the outside valve lines up with the inside valve but it is still a bear to get a good reading. F450 door says 80psi in front and 75psi in rear....it came from the dealer last week with 90psi in all!

RE: Aux. fuel tank

This coming Monday I am getting a transfer flow combo fuel/tool box installed along with a new hitch (Reese 20k) in my new truck. The transfer flow has a 40 gallon tank which is plenty for me combined with the 38 gallons in the F450. I saw the combo at the dealer here and really liked the tool box aspect. This is their new model, all black and should fit just below the rails.

RE: What happened to diesel prices

Just over the line from Charlotte, NC into South Carolina I was at a station that had diesel for $4.16....lowest price around here.

RE: How do you flip axels?

I will wait till I get the hitch installed in my new truck to see exactly how I match up. I could not remember what needed to be done to raise the fiver.

RE: How do you flip axels?
